Introduction to the Media Library¶
Ad creative, product images, video prototypes - if your research involves showing respondents something visual, that media has to live somewhere. The Media Library is where it lives: a shared space for every image and video you upload, independent of any single survey.
What Makes It "Shared"¶
Media you upload to the Media Library isn't tied to one survey - it's tied to your account. That means the same product photo, video, or concept image can be used across a Stimuli Testing section in one survey and a Pairwise Comparison pool in another, without uploading it twice.
Where You'll Use It¶
The Media Library comes into play anywhere a survey needs visual stimuli: Stimuli Testing sections (see Setting Up Image and Video Stimulus Testing), where a respondent reacts to a single image or video, and Pairwise Comparison sections (see Pairwise Comparison Testing: Setting Up a Head-to-Head Tournament), where several images or videos are compared head-to-head.
Uploading Media¶
Upload images and videos directly to the Media Library from its own dedicated page, or upload on the fly from inside a survey builder when adding a Stimuli Testing or Pairwise Comparison section - either path adds the file to your shared library, available for reuse afterward.
Reusing Media Across Surveys¶
Once uploaded, a media file can be selected from your library in any survey that needs it, instead of re-uploading the same file each time. See Reusing Images and Videos Across Surveys with the Media Library for the practical benefits, including how cloning a survey or section handles shared media.
Why This Matters for Recurring Research¶
If you regularly run similar studies - ad testing, concept testing, seasonal product research - your Media Library becomes a growing, reusable asset collection over time, rather than a folder of one-off uploads scattered across individual surveys you'd otherwise have to hunt through.
